Cempasúchil

A Short Story

June 18th, 1899

Newland Ranch

Nacimiento de Los Negros, Coahuila, Mexico

Cempasúchil Jackson and her father were finishing up with their annual Juneteenth celebration decorations. This was the first year that her father had given her complete control over the festivities, and she wanted everything to be perfect. She had the day thoroughly planned down to the minute; what she didn't have planned was the gang of unwanted visitors that decided to show up and cause trouble. Will Cempasúchil, her father, and the other ranch hands be able to keep tragedy at bay, or will they lose all that they love and work for?

Little Hapis and JJ:
The Real Wranglers

A Short Story

All Little Hapis ever wanted to be was a bull wrangler, just like his moving picture hero, "The Dusky Demon." Unfortunately, the only animal he had to practice wrangling with was his mother's Saint Bernard dog, who was about as active as a slug, and his best friend JJ was no help with all of her talk about "The Dusky Demon." A fella might think she was sweet on the movie star the way she talked about him, but Hapis knew that one day he would finally convince her that he "Little Hapis" was the "Real Wrangler."

The Real Home Fauxes (pronounced Foxes) of Cheboygan

A Short Story

A fun take on the ever popular reality show genre.  Here you'll meet 5 "friends" spending what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend on a private island on a frozen lake that turns into a weekend they will never forget, well at least 2 of them won't. They others may have been to heavily medicated to remember a thing.
